Meet Nicole!
Arise Floral Co. has been an abiding dream I have had since I began as a delivery girl at a local florist shop in Colorado where I also was given the opportunity to learn to design. That dream carried with me as I left Colorado to be with my future husband in Alaska where we would learn and create a vision for our life together. The real groundwork began in our cozy condo in Anchorage, Alaska. The business came to life when my husband and I shared dreams and a vision for a company that not only offered exquisite floral design but also a heart for lifting up marriages and lasting joy. My personal story reflects a theme of beautiful new life coming up from dust. I think flowers reflect that kind of miracle and I want to bring that into every event I get to be a part of. When my husband suggested the name Arise, I knew it was the perfect fit for the inspiration behind my designs and the company we wanted to build.
I have been a designer for eight years, serving my clients with optimism, creativity, and inspiration. My designs draw inspiration from visiting Monet art exhibits in San Francisco with my grandmother as a young girl, spending time in France watching the coastline, losing myself in books about Victorian gardens and natural design, and the graceful tones of a Colorado sunrise each morning through my linen curtains while I sip coffee with my boys. I love stopping the car during a drive to brush my fingers through wildflowers or walking through a family member’s garden in awe about the tender work put into each plant. I believe nature holds all of the inspiration we need to create. It’s a sweet gift to be able to design something from what has already been given to us -- to replicate natural beauty.
The art of floral design has been healing and I wouldn’t want to spend my life any other way. I want to take the joy and love that I have received in my life and give that care back to every recipient of my arrangements. My dream for Arise is to give life back to the gift of marriage and reach my community in a deeper way. I long for my floral designs to be breath-taking but also life-giving.
